I love looking at all the beautiful Christmas wreathes, but some of them are ridiculously expensive! I always make my own wreathes, usually out of Dollar Tree items. I wanted something a little simpler this year. I got this really cute white and silver wrapping paper at Walmart with reindeer on them so I wanted… Continue reading Christmas Wreath DIY
Check out these beautiful photos Kammie from Nut House Central! She takes such amazing photos. She even makes the frames she puts her work in. I just love them!
I have this crazy picture thing going on. And one door has closed, but God opened another. My frames are now personally refurbished. The photographs are mine. And I want nothing more than to do this full time.
I’ve done the sanding, staining, and painting. Cleaning the glass can be annoying.
Now I just need them to sell. I’m trying not to lose my hope. Every time an obstacle comes about, God is right there to show me another way. He’s providing time and time again the open doors that others keep slamming.
And He’s pushing me. He wants to see me faithful and trusting in His time. Not mine. And that is a hard acceptance for me. Because I’m surrounded by some that want this to instantly be a money maker-and they’re not even involved. It’s a complaint, a burden, a money sucking burden. And in my heart I…

Happy Wednesday! We are under a winter storm warning until tomorrow here in Virginia. I can hardly believe it! Usually we don't start getting these warnings until January! We are supposed to be getting a little bit of snow but mostly ice. Yuck. I hope it melts fast! I don't have time for ice. I… Continue reading Mason Jar Lid Christmas Ornaments
You have to see the cute things Liz makes for charity. Last year her nests were adorable! This year she’s working up something different. Check it out!
Hi y’all! It has been a super quiet morning compared to yesterday. Halloween is finally over, which means I am behind on one of my favorite activities. Every year I crochet for charity. Last year I crocheted Wildlife Rescue Nests these nests are sent out to wildlife rehabilitators all over the world. My heart melts when I see the little critters all snuggled up in their nests. Go check out the web-site and you will see what I mean.
These are a few of my nests from last year:
This year I’m choosing Warm Up America and I want to scarf bomb the city for our homeless that need to keep warm in the frigid temps. Warm Up America is a wonderful charity that was started by Evie Rosen in 1991. Sadly, she passed away in 2012, but her legacy lives on and she will always be remembered. She is…

It's finally Halloween and I'm a little glad to see it come and go. My daughter is 11 this year and she's at that weird in-between age where she's too young for certain things and too old for certain things. She wanted to go trick-or-treating, so we will, but she's just not as excited about… Continue reading Happy Halloween!
Do you have an old lampshade that needs an update? Bushra shows us how easy it is! Check it out!
It’s a small DIY project to share. I get tired of my decors very fast. This lamp I had from Ashley furniture’s a few years ago. It was good with my old bedding but, was not going to work with my new room makeover.
I decided to swap the lamps in the room. I found beautiful brass lamps somewhere in a Garage sale, as brass is so much in fashion today.
I spray painted the lamps. After the lamps got ready, I needed lamp shades with them, I shopped around in stores and online. Nothing was less than $50 a shade. It means $100 for the pair.
I finally used my brain, a bit (normally I don’t use my brain at all), and come up with an idea of using the same lampshades by giving them a new makeover.
Here is what I used to give them a new look,
It was an easiest makeover…

I've been working on this crochet scarf for about a week and I finally finished it. It seems that whenever I sit down to crochet a scarf something always comes up and I have to put down my work. So I'm glad to have finally finished! I loved making this scarf. It was so easy… Continue reading Crochet Scarf
A few weekends ago my mom and I went to a rummage sale and I picked up this picture. I only wanted the wooden frame so I could make a "window" out of it. There was a handwritten note on the back of the picture written to the owner stating the year it was made… Continue reading DIY Window Frame with Wreath
I finally finished my fall wreath for my front door. I also made one to go in my picture window behind my couch, but I haven't been able to get a picture of that yet. Maybe for another day. I already had the wreath and all the decorations on the wreath came from Dollar Tree.… Continue reading More Fall Decor
It's been cloudy on and off today with a slight breeze and even a rain shower earlier. Those dark clouds from Hurricane Florence are rolling in. The public schools are closed today and the high school football game scheduled for tonight was pushed up to last night. The local weather is still saying that Florence… Continue reading Fall Hurricane Candle Holder DIY
