Weekend Happenings

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Saturday was rainy and chilly. My mom took me out to lunch and shopping for my birthday, which is tomorrow. We went to a primitive shop and spent hours in there! It's a big store with lots of booths with different vendors. We walked around… Continue reading Weekend Happenings

Mason Jar Lid Ornaments

I'm back today with more DIY Christmas tree ornaments! I love making my own ornaments and putting a personal touch to my home decor. It means more to me when I know that I made it myself instead of spending a lot of money on it.  I went to a huge craft fair at the… Continue reading Mason Jar Lid Ornaments

Paint Swirl Ornaments

My daughter and I made paint swirl Christmas ornaments yesterday while the snow was slowly melting. We had a lot of fun making these. They are so simple to make, but do take a while because of the drying time. I had bought a set of clear ornaments for a great deal while Black Friday… Continue reading Paint Swirl Ornaments

Mason Jar Lid Christmas Ornaments

Happy Wednesday! We are under a winter storm warning until tomorrow here in Virginia. I can hardly believe it! Usually we don't start getting these warnings until January! We are supposed to be getting a little bit of snow but mostly ice. Yuck. I hope it melts fast! I don't have time for ice. I… Continue reading Mason Jar Lid Christmas Ornaments

HOW TO TRANSFORM A LAMP SHADE WITH CONTACT PAPER

Do you have an old lampshade that needs an update? Bushra shows us how easy it is! Check it out!

I finally used my brain, a bit  (normally I don’t use my brain at all), and come up with an idea of using the same lampshades by giving them a new makeover.

Here is what I used to give them a new look,

It was an easiest makeover…

Halloween Decor

It's almost Halloween! My daughter already has her costume. She is going to be a bird this year. I thought that was pretty unique. Growing up I was almost always a witch. I'm not sure why. Maybe because it was the easiest costume to throw together. And the cheapest since I already had everything. There… Continue reading Halloween Decor

DIY Window Frame with Wreath

A few weekends ago my mom and I went to a rummage sale and I picked up this picture. I only wanted the wooden frame so I could make a "window" out of it. There was a handwritten note on the back of the picture written to the owner stating the year it was made… Continue reading DIY Window Frame with Wreath

More Fall Decor

I finally finished my fall wreath for my front door. I also made one to go in my picture window behind my couch, but I haven't been able to get a picture of that yet. Maybe for another day. I already had the wreath and all the decorations on the wreath came from Dollar Tree.… Continue reading More Fall Decor
