Favorite Fall Scents

I love it when my house smells good. I have 3 cats and a dog in my house and it can get pretty stinky some days. Especially since my oldest cat is 13 and has some health issues. He has started using the litter box and not covering it which stinks up my whole house! He can only eat wet cat food now because of some digestive issues so …. Yeah. Yuck! We have to give him medicine for his thyroid and it’s tough getting it just right. If he takes more he throws up – A LOT! If he takes less he acts like he’s starving all day. There really is no in-between with him.

So needless to say, I have to keep warmers on and air spray on hand at all times. I love candles, too, but I usually only light those at night or more during fall and winter. My favorite fall scent is Marshmallow Fireside by Bath and Body Works.

BBW

On the Bath & Body Works site they describe this candle as having scents of “toasted marshmallow, smoldering woods, fire roasted vanilla, and crystallized amber.” I definitely smell the toasted marshmallows with a hint of smoke and vanilla. These scents together make this candle smell absolutely amazing! It’s not an overpowering scent, either. This candle is usually burning in my home every fall.

Another scent that I just love that is always in my warmer for fall is Scentsy’s Cozy Chai.

This can be a powerful scent, though. Sometimes I have to add another scent to it, but if my windows are open I warm this all by itself. It definitely has a strong cinnamon smell to it, but you can also smell that vanilla bean and caramel blending in.

We cannot leave out the scent of Autumn Leaves! This candle has a “rich earthy scent of a fall day.” Amazing!!

Check out this maple syrup scented candle!

I haven’t tried this yet, but I really want to! It’s so cute in the can and the design is beautiful! Maybe more for winter, but I bet it smells amazing! Like pancakes on a cool, crisp Sunday morning.

I also love the Woodwick candles. My favorite is the Fireside scent. The natural wooden wick in these candles make them crackle so they sound like a fireplace. I don’t have a fireplace, but I love them so this is the closest I’m going to get! The Fireside candle has scents of amber and musk as well as vetiver, which is a calming scent sometimes used in massage therapy. Maybe that’s why this candle is my favorite overall!

What are your favorite fall scents? Do you enjoy burning candles or warmers or both? I’d love to hear what fall smells like to you!

Have a blessed day!

    1. Thank you! I have read that cat’s do not like citrus scents so mix some orange or lemon essential oil with water and spray on the area the cat scratches. I haven’t tried this yet because Sam doesn’t scratch on the wall or anything luckily. Thank you for including me in the group!

  1. Thanks for the fun fall scent ideas. Some of my husband’s sisters are really into bath and body works, I wonder if they have tried the Marshmallow Fireside yet. We have an artificial Christmas tree and one year, I bought some candles that were pine scented….It added to the illusion of a real evergreen in my house! I hope your kitty is feeling better soon. Our dog passed 2 years ago and the last year was pretty difficult. Sometimes I caught myself getting a little too frustrated about some of the messes she would make. It is hard when our beloved pets grow older.

    1. That’s a great idea with the pine scented candles! I’ll have to try that this year since we have an artificial tree as well. I’m so sorry about your dog. It’s hard to lose a pet. They are like family! Thanks so much for reading! Have a blessed day!

  2. I just recently discovered Pumpkin Spice Latte and instead of putting the spices in the latte directly, I use a tea bag. When used they spread the most delicious sent in my room ๐Ÿ™‚ Cool post ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the smell of fall too!
